Braynard Bob Brown

Bob was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

He attended the University of Notre Dame on a football scholarship. While breaking statistical records in both football and track & field as a two-sport student-athlete, Bob worked diligently in the classroom and graduated from Notre Dame with a triple major (Political Science/Sociology/Computer Applications) and a minor (African American Studies).

During his senior year, Bob was named the Westwood One/ State Farm Student-Athlete of the Year. After graduating, Bob played professional football in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns. Bob returned to South Bend to pursue his law degree from Notre Dame after his professional football career ended.

While at Notre Dame Law School, Bob was a two-term president of the Black Law Students Association and an active member of the Business Law Society. He also served as the graduate student representative on the President’s Diversity Council and the NCAA Faculty Board. After graduating from law school, Bob took and passed both the New York and New Jersey bar exams. He then practiced corporate law at the New Jersey based law firm of Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti, LLP.

As a corporate associate, Bob handled legal matters for both privately held and publically traded companies. In a quest to be more on the business side of deals, Bob decided to obtain his MBA from Yale. During his time at Yale, Bob was extremely involved with the Entrepreneurship Club and also served as a co-leader of the Black Business Alliance.

In addition to his legal and business backgrounds, Bob is also a professional public speaker and speaks at high schools throughout the country. Passionately dedicated to service, Bob sits on the board for the Paterson YMCA, Black Alumni of Notre Dame and the “I Have a Dream” Foundation. Bob is also on the Notre Dame Law Advisory Council.
